If you are bit put off by the price of coffee pods, then you could try to make them yourself. I have never tried this myself as I really find buying them easier, quicker and with more consistent results.

However if you do want to give making your own coffee pods a go then you need to have a coffee pod machine for it to work properly.

The first thing that you will need is a stainless steel measuring scoop that will fit into your pod holder. Usually a scoop that is about 1/3 of a cup in size will fit. (more…)
